ANTE TODOS LOS CAMBIOS, LAPPI TOMÓ LA PUNTA EN EL VIERNES SUECO

Esapekka Lappi le arrebató el liderato del Rally de Suecia a Takamoto Katsuta en el final de un caótico viernes en el que las nevadas dieron vuelta a cada momento el clasificador general.

Con las primeras ocho pruebas cronometradas disputadas, y ganando las tres que cerraron la segunda etapa del nevado Rally de Suecia, el finlandés Lappi se ubica al tope de las posiciones conduciendo el Hyundai i20 N Rally1.

El finlandés, conocedor de los caminos y sus características en Suecia, llegó al parque de asistencia  luego de aventajar al Toyota de Takamoto Katsuta por 3,2 segundos al cierre del viernes, y a la tremenda sorpresa del Skoda Fabia Rally2 del local Oliver Solberg, por una gran aventaja de 1:20,7.

Dos importantes retrasos hubo en el desarrollo de la jornada, y que involucró a dos campeones mundiales: el actual Kalle Rovanpera (Toyota) y primer líder de la carrera, y el estonio Ott Tänak (Hyundai), quienes tuvieron que abandonar en la Prueba Especial N° 4, por sendos daños en sus radiadores.

Por su parte, quien ganó en Montecarlo y llegó adelante en el certamen, el belga Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), quedó muy atrás en el reinicio de la jornada, tras la asistencia, al perder 4 minutos en un control horario, y con ello está clasificado en el puesto 11, a más de 2 minutos de su compañero Lappi.
