Kalle Rovanperä se impuso en 3 de los 9 tramos cronometrados disputados en esta jornada, el segundo día del Campeonato Mundial de Rally en Finlandia, y terminó la jornada en el primer lugar de las ubicaciones.
El piloto local completó la primera jornada de su evento de casa con una ventaja de 4,9 segundos sobre Thierry Neuville, pero solo 15,7 segundos separan a los cinco mejores del clasificador, después de casi 115 kilómetros de acción en los clásicos caminos forestales del país nórdico.
Rovanperä parece haber encontrado el camino en esta novena prueba de la temporada, colocándose líder al cierre de esta etapa y marcando los mejores tiempos en la mayoría de los tramos del día.
De todos modos, a pesar de su ritmo, Kalle tiene una ventaja de solo 4,9 segundos sobre el belga Neuville (Hyundai), 7,7 segundos sobre el francés Adrien Fourmax (Hyundai) y 8,1 segundos respecto del japonés Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota).
La actividad del Rally de Finlandia continuará este sábado a partir de las 02:01 horas de la madrugada argentina, cuando se realicen los cuatro tramos de Parkkola, Västilä, Päijälä y Leustu, que se repetirán luego, desde la hora 09:01.
